"Too young to do half the things, and too old to do the other half."
How splendidly does this describe every adolescent today. This is one of the most beautiful stages when you have most of the changes in you. Friends, crushes, dates, exams, high school...life starts revolving around them, and all that matters to you is this. When we grow up there are some instances in our life when we look back at these memories and laugh, at how they mattered so much to us, but how beautiful they were, and we just miss that time. Friends just mean the world to us and we can't imagine our lives without them. They are our advisors, haters, lovers, partners in crime and just every memory we have stored with us of our teen years is with are friends.
Teens are like flowers yet to bloom. They aren't completely developed but the biggest mistake they make is by believing that they are 'big enough'. In most of the countries, driving and liquor permit is given after the age of 18. Most of the teens deny this rule and break them often with no regrets, this leads to the many accidents and mishaps. It is this ardent denial of them which makes them too immature to handle drinks and cars. They believe they don't require any guidance and can make their own decisions but truth says that they are sensitive and require the right support and guidance that can show them the way to live their entire life on the correct path.
As our parents say, our set of friends have the major influence in our life. We tend to do what are friends do. This peer pressure can be positive and negative both, so it is us who must be capable enough to choose the right group. Habits cultivated in adolescence remain lifetime. You can only mould the clay when its young, after its set you cannot.
Teenagers, as most could infer, are in their own little worlds, where they are trying to figure out what their life is and where it leads them. They start following their hearts. Some decide what they want to become, some discover and provoke their passion, some give in while some give up, some follow while some lead, some learn to live while some live to learn. There are hundreds of things going on in their minds at the same time. From the age of thirteen, we realise we become a little less fussy and a little more mature as every year passes by, the flowers are blooming a little more every year. All those kiddish acts and games don't appeal to them anymore, and outings, movies, lunches with friends don't appeal to their parents and that's the reason for conflicts. But this is how we learn to live with limitations.
Insecurities and jealousy are some emotions that are quite normal and not something to fear from. They always teach us something that essays like this one can't. They are real life experiences and teach us the most important lessons. Teenage is to enjoy these small moments and store them in little corners of your hearts for lifelong. Though teenage is full of challenges, don't fear them, embrace them.
