Hold on, right there! You must be expecting an article on magic, but it is not. Apologies, if you expected for spells to cast, or cauldrons to fill, or broomsticks to fly. But this isn't about magic. Then why the title - 'Abracadabra'? And then what is this article on? All the answers, down below.
Abracadabra is a Hebrew word that translates to 'I will create what I speak'. And this term can be specifically used by two of the communities- One, by those who wear the stovepipe hats and willow wands and other, by the ridiculously simple Parsis.
Parsis, one of the scantiest minorities of India, are the ones who should be entitled to speak the word Abracadabra. Because, ever since the 10th century from whence they immigrated to our proud homeland, they have done great deals of sensible work that has brought holistic growth in the country. Economical. Cultural. Social. The best thing about Parsis is their ability to stay calm even in the toughest situations and that is why we love them , don't we; for their attitude and gratitude. Parsees have dissolved like sugar in milk in our country.
They are one of the most underrated minorities of the country but they have never raised their voices, or even for that matter, their eyebrows against the efficiency of governance and provision of equality in the state. They have always respected everybody and never have gone against a caste, creed, region whatsoever the situation is.
The Parsis are always acknowledged to say less, and do more. The Parsis have achieved greatly in the various aspects that exist in the world and never have they boasted their superiority over others. They have always envisaged a society without differences and tried to glue communities together with their lively and boisterous behaviour. They have never exercised a tantrum and have never asked for any extra perk which they do deserve.
The Parsis have contributed magnanimously to all the industries stretching from Bollywood to automobiles to IT and so on. The first Indian movie with sound was brought to us by a Parsee. The TATA companies boast a colossal capital and provide employment to thousands, not only that, the company also has an impact on the overall GDP of the country and plays an unparalleled role in the Stock Exchanges. The Parsis have also had have had given exceptionable contributions to arts, sciences and philosophy. Not only these, but the Parsees also remain the unshakable giants of the construction industry. And who can forget, the amazing and unrivalled delicacies they have introduced to us, they are indeed great foodies.
One more reason why we love Parsis is their admiration and respect for ethics, their sweetness embellished in their accent, their spirit and their silence. The Parsis never involve themselves in conflicts and remain silent whilst working for the betterment of the nation and coming up with solutions. This is what makes Parsis one of the best people to be with.
And this is not just an idea originated from the author, even the father of the nation appreciated the role Parsis play in this polity by saying - "I am proud of my country, India, for having produced the splendid Zoroastrian stock, in numbers beneath contempt, but in charity and philanthropy, perhaps unequalled, certainly unsurpassed."
