Spockumentary: Logic > Emotion ?

As all 'The Big Bang Theory' fans would know, a Spockumentary is a documentary on the Star Trek hero Spock. This term was coined by Leonard and was used by Sheldon in Season : 9 and Episode : 7 ' The Spock Resonance'. Spock was a half human/ half Vulcan character. The species of Vulcan are quite strange. They are not bound by emotions. All their decisions and actions are based upon logic. That leads us to the question - What would happen if Earthiens were also logical rather than emotional?
Wouldn't it be great if all of our leaders and politicians, all our relatives and friends, all our teachers and preachers would make their choices from a logical analysis rather than an emotional outburst. Earth would definitely have been a better place with more prosperity and development.
The world would not have suffered from wars like the WWI and WWII and The Cold War which were only fought due to tension between two parties and various attempts by these to dominate over the other. On a wider spectrum, these wars hold no logical significance and do not have any positive impact on the evolution of the human species.
The world would not be so corrupted and terrorism and crime would be almost zero. This would be because people would know that the highest asset one could own is their intelligence and wisdom and that cannot be stolen. Also, people would not do wrong deeds as they would be concerned for the overall upliftment of mankind on a scientific horizon rather than promote individual growth.
The world would excel in the fields of science and would unlock the mysteries of the universe using science and make a logical argument about it rather than providing a theory of alpha species that have given rise to the world with their bare hands and is keeping an eye on all the living beings.
This was how our Earth would look had it had the species like Spock. Undoubtedly, we would be a prosperous and advanced settlement. But, on the other hand we would lose the very essence that make us human. Without emotions, life would become monotonous with no excitement and thrill which is necessary to fuel us. There would be no love, no pain, no music, no joy, no smiles and no imperfections. It's the imperfections of the emotional man that make human life spur on this planet. The emotions of a man make us the sentient beings. And it is these emotions that would be our salvation as we descend into facing extinction.
As in the movie I Robot, the android chose protecting Will Smith's character rather than the young girl just because 'the odds were in his favour', the logical beings would take decisions by PROBABILITY of possible consequences rather than faith in themselves that they can achieve it. The logical man would give in to an apocalypse as he would see it as a natural path towards evolution. And, therefore, give up. In stark contrast, a true Earthling will stand steadfast and always fight for his survival because humans have this unique characteristic of 'belief' in 'hope' which sets us apart from the other species. Humans have a tendency to follow their guts which often results in better outcome than logical interpretations.
To conclude, a world fundamental to logic would be much more advanced but our world, the world we live in, even tough it is filled with drawbacks of poverty and disparity, would be the perfect place to thrive as it would be driven by the most powerful energy of all - HOPE.
